Job Description

CDW is seeking an experienced ColdFusion Administrator to lead the upgrade of our ColdFusion environment to Update 11 (2023 release) and migrate our systems from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2019. This role is critical to ensuring a smooth transition while maintaining the stability of core business applications, including dispatching, finance, and warranty management systems.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the upgrade of ColdFusion to Update 11 (2023 release).
  • Plan and execute the migration of ColdFusion applications from Windows Server 2008 to Windows Server 2019.
  • Ensure compatibility, security, and performance optimization throughout the transition.
  • Review and enhance workflows and business processes post-upgrade to improve efficiency.
  • Provide ongoing troubleshooting, support, and maintenance to ensure system stability.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless migration process.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience with ColdFusion administration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong background in Windows Server migrations, specifically Windows Server 2008 to 2019.
  • Expertise in application performance tuning, optimization, and ColdFusion security best practices.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-critical ColdFusion applications in a production environment.
  • Ability to analyze and enhance workflows and processes to improve system performance.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with a focus on maintaining system integrity.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with database integration (SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL) in a ColdFusion environment.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools to streamline system migrations.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based ColdFusion deployments is a plus.
